As a centre we support research institutes in various professional capacities that will help them improve their research output and increase their visibility. This is through consulting services with support from our global partners.

Policy Engagement

STI & Higher Education Excellence for Sustainable Economic Development

In order to strengthen knowledge economies through higher education excellence for sustainable development, we collaborate with strategic partners to implement strategic policies that will increase research output, visibility, economic growth and sustainable development.

                              

We  are working with PLOS  and  the  Association of African Universities  in increasing awareness on Open Science among higher  education institution  leaders with the primary objective of increasing Open Science mandates within African universities. In addition, we are collaborating with the East African Science and Technology Commission to promote the benefits of Open Science for East African researchers, with the goal of adoption by partner states.

From January 2021 TCC Africa together with representative library consortia, granting and research councils we have successfully implemented the launch and national training on the #openaccess research discovery research solution Dimensions in the following countries:

In a bid to increase African research visibility TCC Africa has been instrumental in leading the process of indexing higher education stakeholder partners in Dimensions, an international citation research database.
