Training Centre in Communication (TCC Africa) and East Africa Centre For Vaccines and Immunization(ECAVI), got into a strategic partnership, where  TCC Africa  would  support  ECAVI researchers in the  East African  region on improving their research output and increasing their visibility through capacity building. Dr. Ombeva Malande the ECAVI Director  noted that  this  partnership will support  ECAVI researchers in  increasing their  research visibility.

We are truly excited about our renewed 5 year partnership with the University of Nairobi. Since  2006, TCC  Africa   has worked closely with the  University of Nairobi in  building research capacity in  open science , scholarly and  science  communication  through training governments, institutes  and  researchers in  Africa.

Dr Chioma Blaise Chikere is  TCC Africa’s  2021 trainee and an  Award winning  researcher in Environmental Microbiology and Bioremediation of petroleum hydrocarbons-polluted environments. Her research is based in the techy  Niger Delta  region in  Nigeria

Prof. Sheila Okoth is a professor at the University of Nairobi and a former  TCC Africa 2011 trainee. She holds PhD and MSc. Degrees in Mycology from the University of Nairobi.
