I am an information manager with over 15 years experience in delivering high quality and forward thinking information services specifically in biomedical research environments. I have extensive experience in developing open access institutional repositories, data management, data curation, software and web development as well as database design and development. I am an open source software enthusiast with hard hands-on working knowledge of PHP and Python programming languages, SQL-like database management systems including MySQL, PostgreSQL and SQLite.

www.afroscholar.info), the first ever open access Academic Search Engine and Bibliographic Database(ASEBD) that focuces on peer-reviewed literature published in open access African journals in the field of health sciences.
I currently hold the position of Librarian at the KEMRI-Wellcome Trust Research programme in Kilifi, a position held since the year 2004.
I hold a Master of Science degree in Information and Library Studies from the Robert Gordon University – Aberdeen awarded in June 2017.
